Trust is often thought of as a business asset. I would argue that connection is one, too.
After working alongside more than 4,400 BBB Accredited Businesses, I’ve seen firsthand that some of the strongest opportunities in business begin with a simple connection — a conversation, an introduction, a shared challenge or a new perspective. Connected businesses build stronger communities.
One of the things I value most about BBB Accreditation is that it creates those connection points across Central Indiana. Every day, we see businesses from different industries, sizes and backgrounds learning from one another, supporting one another and building relationships that would likely never happen otherwise.
In today’s world, it’s easy to become isolated in the daily work of simply running a business. But strong business communities are not built in isolation. They are built through trusted relationships, shared experiences and a willingness to stay engaged.
That’s one of the reasons BBB continues to invest in educational programs, networking opportunities, leadership conversations and community events. These experiences are part of what Accreditation looks like in action. They are part of the value of being connected to a trusted business community that believes reputation, integrity and relationships still matter.
Some businesses join BBB for credibility. Some join for visibility. Some join because consumers recognize and trust the BBB seal. All of those things are important. But over time, many Accredited Businesses discover something else: They become connected to people, ideas and opportunities that help strengthen both their business and our broader community.
Thank you for being part of that connected community.
