New Towne Post Magazines Mobile App Launches on Google Play and the App Store
Magazines are nothing without their readership, and the publications of Towne Post Network are no different. At Towne Post, we are dedicated to enhancing the reader experience in an effort to create quicker, easier, and more direct communication with our audience. With this, Towne Post is excited to announce the launch of its new E-Reader Magazine Mobile App called “Towne Post Magazine App.” The app is already available for free download on iTunes and the Google Play Store.
“Towne Post Magazine App” completely transforms the user interface of Towne Post’s print presence for our readers, introducing new features and perks to improve user experience.
In the past, Towne Post has redirected users from our townepost.com website to issuu.com to access digital publications, but “Towne Post Magazine App” allows readers to subscribe to any of Towne Post’s 19 community magazines and read them as a digital flipbook in the app. Issues can also be downloaded to be accessed while traveling or without access to WiFi or mobile data.
Users will find the digital reading experience to be much more adaptable and accessible for all readers. When digital pages of the magazines are clicked within the app, an e-reader rendering of the story appears with options to change font size and type according to preference and need – a much more optimized experience for mobile viewers. Stories can also be read aloud to users simply by clicking a play button, increasing accessibility for readers who struggle with impaired vision. Furthermore, digital editions of each magazine issue will be released before hard copies are even mailed out to readers, providing exclusive early access to mobile users.
Towne Post is also launching a new community calendar which will be featured in “Towne Post Magazine App.” Events from around Towne Post’s entire reach of communities will be compiled and easily accessible through provided links, which will be localized and sorted for each individual user’s set location and event category preferences. Featured community events and announcements will be showcased through the “Towne Post Magazine App” and through a new weekly email newsletter available by local community.
