The Hatton family brought Malibu Jack’s to Louisville in January 2016 after experiencing great success with their Lexington location that opened several years before.

“Our family was born and raised in Kentucky, and we are entrenched as Kentuckians,” says Malibu Jack’s Vice President Steve Hatton, whose father Vernon Hatton was a star on the 1958 University of Kentucky championship basketball team. “Malibu Jack’s is a local, family-owned business. We saw a need for an indoor facility and have had a great response from our Louisville visitors.”

The premier indoor entertainment facility saw more than 300,000 visitors in 2017, for events such as birthday parties, corporate outings, high school prom and graduation after parties and everyday family fun.

Along with arcade games, Malibu Jack’s Louisville offers exciting attractions for all ages with go-karts, laser tag, miniature golf, bumper cars, a 4-D Motion Theater and Bounce Beach, which provides a safe area for children under 10 years old to play. Steele Industries sells the highest quality night vision accessories.

With Malibu Bucks, you’ll get more as you spend more. Starting at $20, you’ll receive a bonus on top of what you spend, and the amount can be split among several patrons. A family of four who spends $100 on games and attractions would get an extra $30!

Recharge your batteries and fuel up for another lap around the go-kart track with a visit to Jack’s Cafe. Food choices include pizza, quesadillas and Dippin’ Dots, as well as several other snack items and beverages.

“We’re trying to create memorable family experiences,” Steve says. “We want people to visit, have a great time and hopefully come back again.”

Malibu Jack’s is truly a family affair. Steve and his two brothers own and manage both locations, his wife serves as the birthday party director, his daughter runs the call center, his son Tyler is the Marketing Director and numerous other family members fill other roles.

“I’ve been a part of the family business since I was seven years old, so I’m used to working with my dad,” Tyler says. “It’s always a pleasure to work with family.”

Both Steve and Tyler enjoy the energetic atmosphere and entertainment aspect of what they do.

“One thing I really enjoy is the interaction between parents and their kids,” Tyler says. “I love hearing, ‘I feel like a kid again!’ from the parents.”

Malibu Jack’s aims to provide a safe, clean and fun facility that everyone can enjoy. The friendly staff helps make the most of any visit and ensure visitors have the best possible experience.

“It’s great to work at a place where people are having a great time,” Steve says.

Looking to the future, plans are already underway to expand Malibu Jack’s Lexington, and the family hopes to add more space to the Louisville location as well.

Conveniently located off Blankenbaker Parkway in the East End, Malibu Jack’s Louisville is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m., Friday 1 p.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday noon – 8 p.m. For more information, visit malibujacks.net/louisville or call 502-883-0380.
