Fifteen minutes. Maybe that’s how long your commute is, how long it takes to walk a mile — or the duration of your typical doctor’s appointment. That’s it.
As patients grow weary of one-size-fits-all medicine, they’re seeking providers who listen — and give them time to speak — while empowering them to take ownership of their healing through individualized care. At Solid Wellness and Aesthetics, a functional medicine practice in Westfield, patient-centered care is the cornerstone of the two-year-old business.
Solid Wellness and Aesthetics is a nurse practitioner-run clinic using integrative and functional medicine principles, along with aesthetic treatments, to help patients look and feel their best. Located in downtown Westfield, the practice was co-founded in 2023 by board-certified family nurse practitioner Kate Marciniec, who brings a fresh, integrative approach to health and beauty, and board-certified nurse practitioner Mike Marciniec, an ICU NP and former paramedic and firefighter who serves as the clinic’s men’s health specialist.
Built on the foundation of functional medicine, the clinic emphasizes root-cause diagnostics and personalized care. It serves men and women across Westfield, Carmel, Zionsville, Noblesville, Sheridan, Cicero — and even statewide via telehealth — offering a blend of wellness assessments and aesthetic enhancements such as Dysport, Sculptra, fillers and microneedling.
Functional medicine is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness. It requires a detailed understanding of each patient’s genetic, biochemical and lifestyle factors, leveraging that data to guide personalized treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
“Everything is related,” Marciniec says. “In functional medicine, we don’t treat symptoms in isolation — we step back to see the full picture, exploring gut health, hormones, thyroid function and more to uncover the root cause and restore true wellness, because everything in the body is connected.”
At the heart of Solid Wellness is a belief in hormone health as a vital component of overall well-being. Recognizing that hormone decline can cause fatigue, weight gain, mood swings, brain fog, sleep issues and diminished libido, the team emphasizes hormone optimization for both men and women.
On average, men lose around 1% of their total testosterone each year after age 30. Low testosterone may cause a variety of symptoms and can occur for many reasons. Hormone replacement therapy has proven to be an effective way for men to address these symptoms and restore vitality.
As women age, production of reproductive hormones (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone) declines, often leading to issues such as hot flashes, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, and mood disorders.
Thyroid dysfunction — another commonly misunderstood and misdiagnosed hormone disorder — may cause symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, depression and hair loss. Fortunately, effective treatments are available to help women regain hormonal balance and a healthier life.
Candidates for hormone replacement therapy — both male and female — undergo thorough health interviews and lab testing to pinpoint imbalances. This information informs customized treatment plans, which may include nutraceuticals, lifestyle modifications and bioidentical hormone therapy.

Pricing
Solid Wellness does not accept insurance — primarily to avoid time constraints and the pressure to rush patients through appointments. For those with high-deductible insurance plans, this may make care more affordable. Initial visits begin at $200, with follow-ups at $150. An initial consultation with Marciniec lasts one hour, offering patients the opportunity to talk freely about their symptoms, health history and past treatments.
“We really try to focus on having that personal connection with our patients so they feel truly comfortable — like they’re talking to a friend,” she says. “That’s important because if a patient doesn’t feel heard or cared for, they won’t open up. And if we don’t have their full story, we can’t truly help.”
Outside of connecting with patients, Marciniec remains active in the Westfield community. The practice supports nearly every local event it can, and she’s a regular at her children’s baseball, soccer, wrestling and football events.
