Fatty’s CycleAt Fatty’s Cycle, it’s all about providing customers with quality, reliable service.

“We really take a lot of pride in doing the right job the first time – that’s our big thing,” says co-owner Matt Turner. “We don’t leave a lot to chance.”

Founded in 2010 by business partners Matt Turner and Kevin Lueder, Fatty’s Cycle provides motorcycle, ATV and UTV sales and service for the central Indiana area. Located in Fortville, the shop proudly services American V-twin and metric motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs and side-by-sides, while also serving as Indiana’s premier dealer of Beta and YCF motorcycles.

Turner and Lueder were both educated at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, and first worked together at a Noblesville Honda dealership, where the Fatty’s Cycle idea was born.

“We’d get together on Mondays, which was our day off, and we’d ride our motorcycles,” Turner says.

Since January of 2010, the Fatty’s Cycle duo has put their expertise to good use, completing all kinds of motorcycle repairs.

“We work on most brands,” Turner says. “One day, we may be doing tires on a Harley. The next day, we may be doing service on a Yamaha. Both of us are service technicians.”

Fatty’s CycleWith a small, two-man staff, Fatty’s Cycle can offer a direct line of customer communication.

“Being that it’s just the two of us here, people like the fact that when they call, they’re talking to the people that are touching their bike,” Turner says. “There is no middle man. If they need to know something, we can tell them.”

When it comes to the motorcycles they carry, Turner and Lueder are fans of the Beta brand.

“Betas are all hand-assembled in Italy,” Turner says. “They’re a premium-level, higher-end enduro that’s really catching on hard here in the states. We’re the only dealer in the north-central part of the state, so that’s been going really well for us. We also ride them ourselves.”

Turner says Beta motorcycles are also easy on the eyes.

“The attention to detail is super high,” he says. “Everything has a machine finish on it for the most part, and they’re extremely well thought out. When you set them next to something else that’s very mainstream, it’s kind of like that Italian, Ferrari-type mentality.”

Fatty’s Cycle also carries YCF motorcycles, which fit well alongside Beta bikes.

Fatty’s Cycle“We got into those because we wanted something to complement the adult-sized bikes we sold, but we needed something for the kids,” Turner says. “They’re a higher-end kids bike that’s really, really neat.”

At the end of the day, the shop owners pride themselves on providing customers with quality products and service.

“I’m not the guy that’s going to be trying to cut corners,” Turner says. “We go the extra mile a lot of times, and we have a lot of the machinery to help us be that way.”
