Another lifetime ago, Allen Williams, founder of the Allen Williams Realty Group, was literally living in a firehouse in upstate New York. In 1993, he moved to Indianapolis to be closer to his sister. He had every intention of joining the Indianapolis Fire Department when his sister, who was in real estate, introduced him to the profession.
I caught the bug and have never looked back, says Williams, who began as a new home salesperson before getting into the residential real estate market. He now has a team of eight working with him at Allen Williams Realty Group. In July 2020, they joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Indiana Realty. Berkshire Hathaway is one of the top real estate companies not only in Central Indiana, but nationally as well. In fact, more than one in 10 homes sold in Hamilton County are sold with a Berkshire Hathaway agent.
We have been blown away by their marketing, technology, client support and leadership, Williams says.
The Allen Williams real estate professional team, most of whom reside in Fishers and Geist, know the area well and embrace technology to help promote their listings to the public on several different platforms, both in print and online. The team not only knows the Fishers, Indiana real estate market well but surrounding Indianapolis areas, too. Our team has a large footprint in Central Indiana real estate, and weve found that having several targeted websites allows us to reach a multitude of local and relocation buyers, says Williams, whos nearly 30 years of experience has allowed him to develop strong relationships in the real estate community that he draws on when connecting clients with their dream homes.
We combine new-age technology with old-school customer service, he adds.
Most of his team has been with Williams for several years, and two have been with him for more than 15.
We support one another and have the same goals, to make sure our clients are taken care of and get amazing service, Williams says.
The team has received numerous awards, most recently, Berkshire Hathaways Diamond Award, presented to the top half percent of Berkshire agents in the nation. In addition, Allens group has been named as one of the premiere teams in Central Indiana for several years and was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as one of the top real estate teams in all of Central Indiana. For nine years, the Indianapolis Monthly Magazine has also honored Allen with the Five-Star Agent Award for Excellence in Customer Service.
The Five-Star Agent Award is determined by client surveys from sales the previous year, so we love this metric, Williams says. This is really an award given to us by our clients and it means more to us than any sales achievement.
Though they sell a number of high-end luxury properties, they sell homes at all price points and can help all home buying or selling clients.
We sell first-time homebuyers all the way up to Super Bowl champions, Williams says. We help with new construction, existing homes, single-family residences and condos.
And while its a hot sellers market right now, Williams and his team can still help buyers find inventory those looking for homes for sell in Fishers and beyond.
We have developed a real knack for finding our clients’ inventory thats not necessarily on the market, Williams says. Sometimes that means knocking on doors or using our vast REALTOR® network, both within our company and even outside of it. We use social media regularly and arent afraid to pick up the phone to ask past clients, Hey, have you thought of selling and taking advantage of this market?
Williams and his wife Becky have a blended family, sharing five beautiful children: Ross (21), Morgan (19), Nick (18), Brooke (16) and Ava (15). Ross attends Butler University, Morgan goes to Indiana University, Nick will be starting at Indiana University this fall, Brooke will be a high school junior, and Ava will be a sophomore.
The family recently moved from one home in Fishers to another just a few miles away.
Im lucky, my wife, Becky, shares my passion for real estate, and weve enjoyed the process of building a new home and remodeling an existing one, Williams adds. I seem to have become a professional mover, having moved seven times in 11 years. I guess this is a potential work hazard in my profession! Im just happy to be enjoying all that Fishers and Central Indiana has to offer.
