Scholarship Athlete of the Month: Lindsey Schuler

Other than maintaining her 4.324 GPA, senior Lindsey Schuler has a lot on her plate. She has taken AP calculus, stats, government, economics and more. She has been involved with many organizations as she was her class officer her freshman year, student council officer her junior year and National Honor Society president this year, along with a list of several different clubs. In the midst of it all, Schuler still makes time for her cheer team.
Schuler began cheering in eighth grade at Indiana Elite and continued all throughout high school. She played on the varsity team all four years of her high school career and hopes to continue to do so in college. Schuler’s dream schools are Vanderbilt and Northwestern, but she believes she will end up at Purdue – as she is already talking with the Purdue coach.
“I like being a part of something bigger,” said Schuler. “These girls are like my family. Everyday after school, it doesn’t matter what happened that day. You always have a separate, little home of girls. It’s so fun.”
The HSE Mascot Monthly Scholarship Athlete of the Month is sponsored by Chef Suzanne Catering (pictured) who will bring a catered meal and plaque to Schuler’s family this month. Congratulations, Lindsey!
