When Tom and Bethany Eckert met in college and eventually married, they had a mission from the start.

They both loved serving others and shared a deep affection for animals. Like many, they had experienced the loss of a beloved pet and wanted to help families say goodbye with dignity and respect.

Not only was it important for the couple to provide care and love for animals, but they also have a passion for comforting pet owners through the pain of losing their four-legged family members.

At Forever Above Pet Cremation and Memorial Center in Westfield, the Eckerts handle the cremation of pets and also offer a memorial center where families can hold a funeral for their pets.

They work with local animal hospitals and veterinary clinics, as well as directly with pet owners. They offer pickup from either location and return the pet’s remains with a certificate of cremation.

Packages are available that include clay paw impressions, fur clippings, an urn and more.

Ultimately, the Eckerts hope to provide comfort to those going through a difficult time.

“We look forward to caring for you during the loss of your treasured pet, while bringing respect and dignity to their memory,” Tom Eckert said.

A high-energy scene in the Westfield High School gymnasium shows a row of eleven students standing on a stage, triumphantly holding up individual blue signs that collectively spell out the fundraising total: "117,346.26!" The students, wearing a mix of blue, green, and red t-shirts, are cheering as they reveal the record-breaking amount to a large, blurred crowd of their peers in the foreground. Above them on the wall, the word "WESTF" is visible in large green and gold letters, alongside a scoreboard and an American flag. A large projection screen behind the students and banners for local sponsors like Riverview Health and Indy Dental Group frame the celebration.

A full-length portrait of a woman standing in the center of a spacious, unfinished interior at Westwood Vowery & Estate, a brand-new wedding venue in Westfield, Indiana. She is smiling confidently and wearing a dark brown, patterned power suit with black heels. The large room is in the final stages of construction, with exposed drywall panels on the high ceilings and walls. Directly behind her is a black metal balcony railing for a second-story mezzanine, where a red ladder is perched. The space features large arched doorways and a clean, light-colored concrete floor, hinting at the venue's future modern-meets-traditional aesthetic.
