“Frankly, I was bored with it and needed a different perspective – a new direction, some level of accountability,” Wogomon says. “That’s exactly what I found at F45. I got not just a workout plan that provided me total-body fitness, but a community of people who celebrate each other when we succeed and push each other when we need it. Everyone, the trainers, the management and the members, all make F45 an extremely enjoyable and rewarding place to continue my fitness and wellness journey.”
F45 stands for functional 45, meaning workouts last 45 minutes and are designed to maximize your workout in a short amount of time.
“We like to describe F45 as personal training in a group setting,” says Chris Hasse, Assistant Director of Training. “We have dedicated cardio days, dedicated weight-training days and dedicated hybrid days. Each workout is different.”
The concept boasts 35 branded workouts, and those exercises are different with each class. The certified personal trainers guide clients through the workouts, offering modifications for those who need it.
“With F45, you’re getting the best of both worlds when it comes to cardio and strength training,” Hasse says. “We’re trying to make you as well-rounded as possible in your fitness journey. We’ll always adjust the workout, not to make it easier, but so you’ll get practical training without getting hurt.”
The location opened in March of 2020 during the beginning of shutdowns for gyms.
Metzger, along with co-owner Chris Jeter, attributes the client retention rate to the welcoming environment.
“There are no mirrors in our studio, so people feel comfortable working out,” Metzger says. “You’ll see folks hanging around after the workout chitchat and talking about their kids, talking about what’s going on in their lives.”
F45 even offers nutritional guidance with meal plans and grocery lists.
“We offer a diagnostic, three-dimensional body scan that assesses their overall body composition,” Metzger says. “We also provide a fitness challenge each quarter.”
New clients can take advantage of a free seven-day trial.
“We offer the seven-day free trial so that they can try a variety of different classes,” says Natalie Pesto, Director of Admin and Sales. “They can get some one-on-one time with our trainers, too.”
