“In Greenwood?! Cool.” That’s been a mantra for the past four years. Greenwood Sertoma is again rolling out the fun with WAMMfest, a festival showcasing local culture and talent.
WAMM will be held at Craig Park on August 18, promising wine, arts, music, and microbrews. Festivities include savoring wines from world-class Indiana vineyards; browsing booths of unique artwork, photography, jewelry, and pottery; dancing along to the tunes of local music performers; sampling award-winning beers and ales from breweries all across Indiana; and enjoying an icy treat or something hot off the grill.
Advance-sale tickets are now available for $10 each at any Heartland Community Bank, the Greenwood Public Library, the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, or all Ray Skillman locations. Tickets will be $15 at the door.
WAMMfest promises to bring a little edge of heaven to Greenwood. (Ok – my feeble attempt to revive a little of the 80’s and George Michael.) Best part is you can have loads of fun, keep Greenwood cool, and do good for the community.
The Sertoma Club of Greenwood developed WAMMfest as a charitable event. All net proceeds from this event are distributed back to the community to support our youth, individuals, and community organizations.
This festival is really the place to be in August. WAMMfest begins at 11:00 a.m. and goes until 8:00 p.m. Make sure you let your friends know and, of course, just tell them, “Wake me before you go…go.” Sorry. Had to. Enjoy!
