Eco FoundationWayne Eash, owner of Eco Foundation, says his new Ligonier-based company sells materials that improve the look of sidewalks and driveways.

“We will come out and take a look at the work that needs to be done at your house or business, and we will get right to it,” Eash says. “We specialize in two things – Ecoraster and Ecoslab. We can tell you exactly what will work best for you. [Ecoraster] is a type of plastic, permeable paving grid that is used when you are making and constructing sidewalks and driveways. It looks great, and will take a lot of different weather and traffic.”

Eash adds that Ecoraster is made of specially chosen plastics.

“Ecoraster is also used on mini barns or horse stalls,” he says. “The paving grid system helps with natural drainage that goes into the ground, without causing too much water or storm-water runoff. Ecoraster will keep that natural drainage flow away, and add years to the quality look that you want to maintain. It works just great.”

He adds that Ecoraster can take a lot of wear and tear over the years, with its high-quality materials. He says the Eco Foundation staff does a top-notch job.

“We can fill up the driveways with stones to make them look great,” Eash says. “You don’t have to deal with water puddles that will make your driveway or sidewalk look bad. Ecoraster is high quality, and a lot of people have been very satisfied with it. They tell their family, friends and neighbors about it.”

Eash notes that there are a lot of ways to make the most of Ecoraster material.

“It’s so durable and reliable,” he says. “It’s really lightweight, reusable and very easy to install. We recommend it to everyone. It can be used to make your driveway easier to maintain. It also helps with the mud and dust in barns and horse stalls. It really makes them look a whole lot better.”

Eash says Ecoslab is similar to Ecoraster, and is used on sidewalks and pavilions.

“It’s a system for slab-edge insulation,” he says. “It really helps to lower the amount of heat loss on a sidewalk or pavilion. It gives you a well-coated and protected slab-edge insulation at one time. It has a protective layer that can take the elements.”

Eash says there are slits in Ecoslab that prevent water damage.

Eco Foundation“You won’t be stepping into mud,” Eash says. “It’s also energy efficient and lowers the amount of damage on a structure. If you have a party going on, you can lay it down and pick it back up again later. People like that it is so easy to use. A lot of people have parties in their pavilions, and lawns around them. Ecoslab really protects the look of them.”

Ecoslab also prevents damage to homeowners’ lawns according to Eash.

“It is an effective way to protect your ground,” he says. “It also appeals to do-it-yourself people because they can literally do it themselves. That appeals to people who want to do what works for them and their families.”

Eash notes that Ecoslab is also cost-effective.

“It’s simply not as expensive as concrete,” he says. “It’s also got that design look. If people are paying a lot of money for painted concrete, this is a better way to go. It has a very unique look to it.”

Eash says he is extremely happy to live in Ligonier.

“I just love this area so much,” he says. “I don’t feel any peer pressure from neighbors because there aren’t any near me, but people are still close enough to help each other out. This is a great place. It’s so quiet and peaceful around here.”
