Bogan EyecareBogan Eyecare Center opened in 1982 under the ownership of Dr. David Bogan. Through the years it has grown substantially in order to meet the growing needs of the community.

“The growth in Brownsburg has been considerable, and since 2019 we have also recognized that growth in our practice,” says Dr. Stephanie Curts, who has been with the practice since 2003. Dr. Christina Streff joined in 2020, and this spring they brought on Dr. Brittany Foerg. They felt it was important to add another doctor because patient load had increased significantly.

“We wanted to fill that gap so that we can provide the best service possible and get people in when they want to come in,” Curts says.

Now a woman-owned, woman-run business, their focus has always been on taking care of patients as if they are members of their own family. Curts, who is married with four children ranging in age from 9 to 18, is a jackof-all-trades, though she especially enjoys providing complete family eye care, from InfantSEE assessments to refractive care and ocular disease management. In her free time she likes running, scrapbooking and traveling.

Streff and her husband have two daughters, a 7-year-old and a 10-month-old. She enjoys baking, exercising and traveling. Fluent in both English and Spanish, her focus at the practice is on building the dry-eye clinic.

Foerg is married and has an 8-month-old son. She enjoys gardening, bicycling and kayaking. Her main areas of interest are managing ocular diseases, perioperative care and fitting specialty contact lenses. All three women are Hoosiers – Curts is from Brownsburg, Streff is from Carmel and Foerg is from Monticello.

The team at Bogan Eyecare Center serves patients ranging from infants up to 100- plus years of age, offering comprehensive eye examinations, glaucoma and cataract diagnosis and nonsurgical management, complete contact-lens care, and dry-eye evaluation and treatment. The team is currently growing their dry-eye practice and specialty contact lens services.

Bogan Eyecare“Because people are spending so much time staring at screens these days, dry eye has become more prevalent,” Curts says. “Plus, as we age our eyes become more dry.”

As for specialty contact lenses, “They are a great option for patients with a history of surgery or ocular disease causing the front surface of the eye to become irregular,” Curts says.

Besides excellent care, Bogan Eyecare Center is best known for their friendly, kind, attentive staff.

“We get compliments all the time from people telling us that we have the most amazing staff,” Curts says of the team of 10. “We really are one big family that gets along, supports one another and has fun together. We truly enjoy coming to work every day.”

All three doctors are currently accepting new patients.
