Sun King Brewing Expands In Hamilton County

Westfield’s Newest Taproom

The wait is finally over and Sun King Brewery’s newest location in Westfield at Grand Junction Plaza is open and ready to serve the community.

“We are excited to be a part of such a vibrant and growing community! Everyone from the mayor, his team, the City Council, police and fire departments have been so friendly and helpful. It makes a huge impact when you are finding your way in a new community and are building a new home,” says Clay Robinson, co-founder and CEO of Sun King Brewing.

Patio season is officially here! ☀️ Grab a seat, a cold Sun King brew, and some of our favorite shared plates.

Sun King Brewing Westfield is located right across the street from Grand Junction Plaza, the heart of Westfield.

Grand Junction Plaza serves as the designated park space for year-round community events and gatherings in Westfield. And Sun King Brewing Westfield’s location positions them to be an extension of these experiences.

“We work very closely with Justin Moffett from Old Town Design Group, who was instrumental in the redevelopment of Midtown Carmel and now downtown Westfield. Over four years ago, Justin started talking to us about what was happening in Westfield and as it continued to come together, we saw the vision and knew it would be a great opportunity,” says Robinson.

Now joining the Carmel and Fishers locations, Sun King Brewing has been purposeful in choosing its locations and in establishing its footprint in Hamilton County.

“All of our locations are unique, and we genuinely want them all to have their own vibe and feel like they are a part of the communities we serve. When we designed our Westfield location, we integrated things we learned over the years from our other locations. Sun King Westfield has a single food partner with a variety of options. The first floor is open concept, casual, family friendly with our food partner front and center. The second floor is a little more upscale and caters to our 21-plus guests and has a private room for meetings and events,” says Robinson.

Sun King Brewing has evolved over the years, but at its core, it is a place where people can come together and for adults to enjoy a finely crafted beer.

“When we started Sun King 17 years ago in downtown Indianapolis, our tap room was exclusively for adults of legal drinking age, but as our fan base and our team continued to grow and evolve, kids became part of the equation and we started to incorporate food partners and space for our guests to include their families,” says Robinson.

Unique to Sun King Brewing Westfield is the Upper House Social, an exclusive area located on the second floor designated for adults 21 and older. This area was designed to offer guests an area to socialize in an intimate, exclusive space.

“Upper House Social is our second-floor space that caters to adults, because sometimes you get a sitter and want to spend some quality time. It has a more upscale, lounge-like feel and opens up to our amazing second-floor patio with sweeping views of the Grand Junction Plaza and Park. There is also a special food menu for Upper House Social that is designed to complement the drinks and atmosphere,” says Robinson.

The gold standard. 🍺 Nothing beats a fresh pour of your favorite Sun King brew.

Sun King Westfield will have all the Sun King signature craft beers on tap, including Sunlight, Orange Vanilla Sunlight, Pachanga, Wee Mac, Osiris and Keller Haze.

The Stacked House food menu at Sun King Westfield is simple but filled with familiar classic options and features appetizers of mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, loaded nachos and a giant soft pretzel; handheld foods including smash burgers, wraps, fish tacos and a pulled pork sandwich; salads; kids meals; ice cream; and classic and gourmet milkshakes.

“We had a local restaurant group that was originally slated to be our partner in Westfield, but as the project got closer to completion, they opened several new locations and decided the Sun King Westfield was more than they were able to take on. Ali from Stacked House worked for that restaurant group and jumped at the opportunity when he heard about it. He has decades of experience spanning all aspects of the restaurant industry, but this is his first entrepreneurial endeavor, and he has been a great partner, from menu design to execution,” says Robinson.

Sun King Brewing Westfield is located at 133 S. Union St.
