Nate Nisley Brings the Entrepreneurial Spirit to Shipshewana

A ride through the Shipshewana countryside paints a peaceful picture.  Clusters of modest houses and stately barns are situated along farmland and pastures.

The farmstead of Nate Nisley is nestled within this rolling rural scenery.  One particular building draws intrigue and attention, a small, tidy structure that seems to resemble both a schoolhouse and a bookstore.  In many ways, both descriptions would be correct.

On a recent visit, Nisley greets a visitor with an easy and friendly smile, excited to share the details of his home-based enterprise, known as Boon Books.

His home office features an awe-inspiring inventory of reading materials that align with timeless business principles.  Within Boon Books are 3 distinct entities: EOS, DICS, and Symbiz

  1. Nisley describes the concept of what E.O.S. espouses by explaining, “I help people to get what they want from their businesses. I do that by providing a complete system with simple tools to help you do 3 things we call Vision, Traction, Healthy. Vision, from the standpoint of first getting your leaders 100% on the same page with where your organization is going and how it is going to get there.
  2. Traction, from the standpoint of helping your leaders to become more disciplined and accountable, executing really well to achieve every part of your Vision.
  3. Healthy, meaning helping your leaders to become a healthy, functional, cohesive leadership team because, unfortunately, leaders often don’t function well as a team.
  4.  From there, as goes your leadership team, so goes the rest of your organization. We get to the point where your entire organization is crystal clear on your Vision, all much more disciplined and accountable in executing your Vision, gaining consistent Traction, and advancing as a Healthy, functional, cohesive team.

If that resonates with you, Nate would love to give you 90 minutes of his time to show you how to use EOS to experience Vision, Traction, and Healthy with your leadership team.

There is also a network known as Symbiz, which gathers a group of businessmen with shared interests to meet monthly, perhaps trading suggestions and strategies along the way. This includes a book study and holding each other accountable for goals you set.

Another fascinating element of Boon Books is the DISC concept, which pinpoints team member assets by establishing whether they are more outgoing or reserved, and whether they are task oriented or people focused.  There are workshops available to learn more about what DISC entails as well, from two to four hours in duration, at whatever location is chosen.

Business owners, leaders, and fellow employees are welcome to attend the forum “Inspire, Motivate, and Lead” at Clinton Frame Church, located at 63846 County Road 35 in Goshen.  The date is set for October 8, and the doors will open at 7:30 a.m.  Lunch is included, and the activities will conclude at 2 p.m.  This workshop is sponsored by Boon Books and Eagle Coaching.  Admission is $147 per person, and $97 for each additional guest from the same company.  Call either (574) 821-2000 or (330) 763-0799 to register.

To contact Nisley directly, call (260) 299-3472.  His Boon Books store is located at 1635 S. 1000 W. in Shipshewana.
