Jon Rigas, owner of Frogs One Stop Tire & Auto, says keeping prices low and offering high-quality service always leads to loyal customers.
“I learned a long time ago that everyone is looking for a great deal at a good and fair price,” Rigas said. “I have really tried to keep it that way since I started Frogs. I also love working with my family. I work with my son, Sebastian, and my son-in-law, Coty. We all work hard to give our customers the best. It’s been that way since the doors opened.”
Frogs originally opened in Knox on April 1, 2019.
“We were in Knox, Indiana, for four years,” Rigas said. “We threw in every dollar we had. We put everything into the business. We are a small, family-run shop. We fought to get where we are at. We have worked very hard to make this the best business it can be. I tell people that we pride ourselves on honesty, integrity and quality work.”
Rigas is pleased that the business has grown from positive word of mouth.
“We decided to move to Plymouth, Indiana, where we have been able to do more business,” he said. “We have been very fortunate to get a lot of our loyal customers to come along with us. It means so much to us. We have been able to get people to depend on us to get them back on the road.”
Rigas noted that Frogs has a wide variety of high-quality tires. “We have every name-brand tire there is,” he said. “They are inexpensive. We know times are tough for a lot of people and we keep our prices low. The tires hold up, and you won’t break the bank. We keep the price down and keep people coming back. We have had a lot of customers tell their family and friends about us, and that means a lot to us.”
Rigas said the team at Frogs can also do just about any auto repair.
“We can do auto repair on everything except electrical work,” he said. “We do exhaust repairs, etcetera. We do everything from brakes to batteries. We do suspension, diagnostics, engine work, and high-performance LS work. LS is a GM engine style. It was started in early 2000. They were found to be extremely strong and worked well for high-performance applications.”
Frogs also offers oil changes for $29.99.
“We offer the standard five-quart oil change,” Rigas said. “People have told us that they think that’s a great price, and much better than a lot of other places.”
Rigas said it makes him feel great when people tell him Frogs is saving them a lot of money.
“Families are looking at a lot of different ways to make their money go farther,” Rigas said. “We don’t want people to have to worry about something else. It gives us a lot of joy to help other people.”
Rigas noted that he loves having a business in Plymouth.
“This is just a great place to be,” he said. “I love it here. The people are very friendly and we have been able to develop a large client base.”
When Rigas and his family aren’t working at Frogs, they enjoy racing. “The boys and I go drag racing,” Rigas said. “We’ve built a 1,000 [horsepower] high-performance Camaro and many other cars.”
