This December, Cortonas Italian Cuisine & Wine Bar is officially celebrating its one-year anniversary. The Fortville restaurant has grown in popularity over its first year, bringing a truly authentic experience for patrons.
Owners Simone and Beth Lucarini couldnt be happier with the response in their first year.
In these past 12 months we have done a lot, Simone says. We are very happy with the support weve gotten from those around Fortville, McCordsville, Geist and even the north side of Indianapolis.
Its really exciting to be celebrating our first year, Beth adds. That community support means so much. Weve even had people come all the way from Avon and Greenwood. Theyve come from all over to see what we are all about. The people of Fortville have been fantastic as well.
Throughout its first year, Cortonas has offered many wine dinners that have been a big hit. The special events have provided an elegant atmosphere perfect for a date night. These unique dinner events will continue to be offered in 2020.
I was born and raised in Tuscany, Simone says. I learned from my mother in the kitchen, what to cook, how to cook, and I wanted to bring that here. I like welcoming people here to our restaurant and making our customers happy with these events and our food. People have loved these wine pairings.
As the New Year draws closer, Simone says Cortonas will continue to be innovative and bring even more for its customers. He has toyed with the idea of also opening a pasta shop where customers could buy pasta but also have unique dinners where they learn to cook authentic Italian dishes, too.
Cortonas has offered unique Tuscan dishes such as the Polenta with Ragu and Gorgonzola, the Bruschetta al Pomodoro, and the Veal Scaloppine Prune Cream Sauce, to name a few. The menu will continue to grow in 2020 with more seasonal offerings and authentic options for guests to enjoy.
We just bought new bar napkins from https://chrisstuff.com/collections/kitchen-bar-napkins and we will have a new pasta machine soon that will allow us to sell pasta to our customers. We will be able to offer some cooking classes, too. I cant wait to do that. Our antipasti options will change. We will also continue to offer our wood-fired pizzas. We will always continue to be authentic. Youve got to come and check us out and experience it for yourself. The dishes I offer here are a part of my culture.
