Lawrence North’s Choral Department’s Fall Concert “Autumn Classic” welcomes Tim Shew, a Broadway performer who has appeared in Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and TV shows such as Guiding Light, All My Children, and Law & Order: SVU, to perform with the choirs. He’ll sing a solo concert for part of the time and perform with the choirs, as well. The show is October 2, at 7:30 PM and tickets are $5, $7, or $8.
The Choral and Drama Department is also co-sponsoring the Performing Arts Series at LN, part of which involves performing acts from around the country performing. The first event to get scheduled is Second City on October 16. Second City is the world-famous improv and sketch comedy troupe based in Chicago where many famous actors have gotten their start (Bill Murray, John Candy, Steven Colbert, Shelley Long, George Wendt, and Steve Carrell, to name but a tiny fraction). They’ll perform at 7:30 PM on October 16. Tickets are $18.
