Business Spotlight: Game Day Men’s Health

It didn’t make sense. Scott Sargent was a healthy 50-year-old man, yet he couldn’t make it through the day without taking a 30-minute nap. He knew this wasn’t normal, so he asked his primary-care doctor to prescribe testosterone. For three years, every physician Sargent saw denied his request, telling him that his levels were normal, and that fatigue was part of getting older. Then he found Gameday Men’s Health in Southern California, a clinic that offers a welcoming environment and promises patients the ability to get in quickly for an appointment, and a fast but thorough evaluation process.

“I was tested, diagnosed and treated for hormone therapy in one hour,” says Sargent.

Gameday Men’s Health is now the largest men’s health clinic in the country, providing service that includes an in-house lab so patients get lab results immediately, enabling them to receive their first testosterone injection that same day if they are ready to start therapy. And this is all at no charge. The bloodwork includes both testosterone levels and PSA markers to screen for prostate cancer.

At the end of this initial appointment, patients can decide if they want to start treatment or think it over. Either way, it’s a no-pressure situation.

Sargent learned from a Gameday Men’s Health clinician that “normal” parameters on testing reports are very wide, and that while a person’s test results may fall within 80% of the population, this doesn’t mean they are functioning optimally.

Sargent was so impressed with the process – and his health results after undergoing testosterone therapy – that when he found out the franchise was opening in Indiana, he jumped at the chance to become a franchise administrator. He opened the Carmel location in April 2024 and is opening a second location in Fishers in May 2025.

Common complaints men have include low energy, reduced mental clarity, subpar workout results and lukewarm libido.

“If a guy is depressed, lacks energy, can’t get off the couch, doesn’t want to be social, isn’t motivated to exercise and doesn’t feel confident, that’s not a great frame of mind to take on life,” Sargent says.

In addition to testosterone health, Gameday Men’s Health offers weight-loss services, vitamin injections and erectile enhancement. Testosterone replacement therapy is what gets most people through the door, however, and the demand for it is starting to accelerate. Testosterone can be administered through injections, pellets, oral tablets or creams.

Most patients who visit the clinic are between 25 and 50 years old. Although one may assume that older patients would benefit the most from their services, it turns out that men of all ages can have low testosterone.

“Many 25-year-olds have the testosterone levels of 70-year-old men,” says Sargent, noting that testosterone is plummeting globally for a number of reasons, including pollution, antibodies in our food chain, poor diet, and microplastics that get into the testicles.

Sargent acknowledges that a stigma surrounds men seeking hormone treatment, but that’s because often they neither understand what it involves, nor realize how much better they can feel upon receiving treatment. Once they do, they are believers.

Gameday Men’s Health is located at 11876 Olio Road, Suite 200 in Fishers, and 301 East Carmel Drive, Suite F-300 in Carmel.
