The much anticipated unveiling of the premier Carmel Community Newsletter will occur this weekend for 20,000 Carmel residents and business owners. Our first feature story is of the Arts & Design District Business Association of Carmel (ADDBAC), a non-profit group looking to put the Carmel Arts & Design district on the regional map. Besides their collective work to bring business to the district, the group will be hosting community events with a philanthropic twist. When I met with Jill Zaniker and Bernie Szuhaj a few weeks ago, their vision for the Carmel Arts District and the way they are looking to involve business owners with local charities was exactly what we wanted to showcase in our premier issue.
If you live in Carmel, you’ll most likely be one of the 20,000 people receiving the print publication this weekend (October 1st and 2nd). Our business model is simple: Advertisers pay for the printing, production, and mailing of the newsletter, and in return, they are seen as the supporters of their community. Since 80% of most business comes from within 3 miles of your front door, the Carmel Community Newsletter is an effective, targeted advertising medium for businesses looking for more Carmel customers. Enjoy, and please send us your story ideas, news tips, or better yet, stories about the people in Carmel that make it such a great community.
