Kiss Kiss Bang Bang were hosts of a cut-a-thon at their Carmel location along Main Street in the Arts District, with all the proceeds benefitting Kountry Kitchen Soul Food Place to support their Christmas Day outreach efforts to feed those in need.

Recently named the #2 Best Soul Food Restaurant in the United States, The Kountry Kitchen Soul Food Place has been a famous Indiana soul food institution for over 20 years. Located at 19th and College Avenue, the Kountry Kitchen is a popular destination for locals and visitors to Indianapolis. Celebrities like Jimmy Fallon, then-Senator Barack Obama, famous singers and local professional athletes from the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers frequent the restaurant.

This Christmas marks the 8th year the Kountry Kitchen will serve local residents in need on Christmas Day. Owners Cynthia and Isaac Wilson pay for it out of their pocket and serve close to 3,000 local residents. This year, the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Salon donated all proceeds to directly support the Kountry Kitchen’s Christmas day food service.

“My wife and I volunteer at the Kountry Kitchen on Christmas morning every year,” shares Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. “We help serve meals to those who otherwise might not have a Christmas dinner at all.”

Orders for Christmas dinners are called in to the Kountry Kitchen for pick up or for delivery by volunteers.

“Tanya and I believe strongly in giving back and we love what Cynthia and Isaac do on Christmas to help others,” shares Mike “Cheez” Brown, co-owner of KKBB Salon. “Kountry Kitchen is one of the best restaurants in the country and we fully support their mission.”
