Prodigy BurgerJoe Harper, General Manager of the latest Prodigy Burger Bar near Geist Reservoir, says the Geist area is an ideal location.

“We chose to expand to the Geist area because we wanted to reach a different customer base,” Harper says. “In Geist it is a very friendly family-oriented community. We want to be a place for families to come in and enjoy a meal together. Along with this, being near the Geist Reservoir, we will be a great summer location to escape the sun.”

Harper believes the Prodigy establishments have been successful because they stand out among their rival burger establishments.

“One thing that makes Prodigy unique from our competitors is how dedicated our staff is to the restaurant,” Harper says. “Our executive chef oversees all of the menus and is constantly developing our product. He is passionate about our brand and is committed to finding the best product to deliver to our customers.”

Prodigy has another successful location in west Carmel, a popular burger bar in downtown Indianapolis, a successful establishment in Greenwood, and one popular burger bar in Kokomo. The ownership team has opened six of the locations in less than three years, was able to continue expansion during the pandemic and has even more plans on the horizon.

Prodigy BurgerOwner Keith Reilly is pleased that many customers continue making return trips with their families and friends to enjoy their menu favorites.

“Our more popular menu items have included Fried Green Tomatoes, Buffalo Mac and Cheese, Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger and America’s Smash Burger,” Reilly says.

Reilly has his own personal favorite burger. “It’s a new one on our menu, “No Name Burger,” he says. “It is made with our signature blended patty – short rib, chuck and brisket topped with goat cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, balsamic glaze and our house-made truffle mayo.”

Reilly continues to say customers are also excited about many of their past favorites. “The Hoosier Daddy tenderloin has always been a great one for us.”

“A new part of the food menu, the Hot Dogs, have been an awesome addition. These are hot dogs served with all kinds of toppings, from everything from our take on a Chicago-style hot dog to a chili cheese dog.”

“Our new drink menu is also very popular,” Reilly adds. “We have a few that really stand out such as our spiked lemonade and Prodigy Old Fashioned. We also carry a solid selection of local and craft beers.”
