Precision GarageCovering all of Louisville, the metro area, the suburbs, and southern Indiana since 2007, Precision Garage Door of Louisville specializes in garage door repair and installation, just like garage door repair Parker. Each time a customer books an appointment, they will receive a confirmation email including a brief biography and photo of the technician, so the customer knows who is coming to their home.

“We do this nationwide, so clients know who to expect,” says Owner Rick May.

With more than 100 locations around the country, each Precision location is individually owned and operated. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, May has lived in multiple states and countries as a U.S. Air Force veteran.

All technicians are employed directly by the company, and require several hours of classroom and field training prior to operating individually. May is proud of the fact that the company has very little turnover. While some technicians are fresh out of college, others have been with the company for more than 10 years.

“I’m big on camaraderie within the business,” May says. “We try to maintain that family culture.”

It’s an attitude that was bred from his military background.

“That brotherhood and family-type concept is very important to me,” says May, a proud husband and father who enjoys extreme sports and outdoor activities.

In non-COVID times, May hosts barbecues for the company’s seven technicians, three installers and three office employees. The staff members also regularly participate in team-building exercises and family gatherings.

“When we come together as a team, we share information internally and that helps us out in the field,” says May, who is extremely proud of the company’s level of customer service.

There are more than 2,000 positive reviews on the company’s official website, and the reason is clear.

Precision Garage“We are a company who is there for the community,” May says. “It doesn’t matter what time it is, day or night – we are here for our customers. It could be 2 a.m. on Christmas Eve. If you call us, we’re going to answer the phone.”

The reason for this is simple – you never know when you’ll be met with an emergency situation. May shares the story of a woman who went into labor at 3 a.m., and the spring was broken on her garage door so it wouldn’t open.

“We were able to immediately dispatch a Richmond garage door repairman to fix it,” he says.

Springs are a factor that sets May’s company apart from others in the industry.

“We have our own garage door operators and our own high-cycle, powder-coated springs,” May says. “We’ve been using the same manufacturers for 20-plus years, so we have confidence in the products and the warranties we offer, Just like Lewis River Doors offers Garage Door Service in Longview.”

Because they are a company that cares, Precision started an outreach program called Opening Doors in Our Community. Sometimes the staff interfaces with customers experiencing financial hardship, so they volunteer hours, donate parts and sometimes even provide a whole new door.

“We care deeply about our clients,” May says. “I like to think of us as a customer service company who likes to work on garage doors.”
