From holiday markets and family-friendly events to local shopping and dining, November and December offer countless ways to make memories, support local businesses, and experience the best of the season.

NOVEMBER

November brings the first wave of holiday festivities to Boone County. Whitestown’s Winter Market (November 14) invites shoppers to discover local vendors, browse handmade crafts, sample baked goods, and find unique gifts while supporting small businesses.

Thanksgiving weekend brings even more excitement. Christmas in the Village (November 28) welcomes visitors to historic downtown Zionsville for its annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting. Guests can explore locally owned shops and enjoy the festive atmosphere along the village’s iconic brick Main Street. Families can also visit Santa’s Workshop (November 28, December 5, 12, and 19) in Whitestown for a cheerful holiday experience and a chance to meet Santa.

A visit to Dull’s Tree Farm in Thorntown is another seasonal favorite. The farm’s annual Christmas Season (November 27–29 and select dates through December 20) invites visitors to choose a Christmas tree, sip hot cider or cocoa, and enjoy festive activities across the farm.

DECEMBER

Holiday shopping continues with Whitestown’s Winter Market (December 12), offering another opportunity to discover local vendors and one-of-a-kind finds. For a playful seasonal outing, the Jolly (Not So Jolly) Trolley (December 15–16)

offers a unique way to add some holiday adventure to the calendar with a trolley tour with festive lights and story reading with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the 15th. The 16th features a more mischievous experience with the Grinch during the Not So Jolly Trolley ride.
