ThriveFit Adds New Class to its Program

Parents are busier than ever with the extra responsibilities that arise during a global pandemic. Finding time to focus on physical activity can be difficult with many ongoing obligations. ThriveFit in Westfield is offering a new program that offers 30 minutes of quality exercise.

“We pride ourselves in being a community fitness gym,” says Lydia Morgan, marketing coordinator. “We’re all about the camaraderie.”

Previously, ThriveFit only offered two classes, Thrive45 and Thrive60.

ThriveFit“When it comes to working out, we do a lot of cross-training,” Morgan says. “We do things that involve cardio with strength. All of our workouts are pretty fast-paced and they involve strength with some endurance training. That means we do anything from biking to rowing to using kettlebells and dumbbells.”

In the new year, many people start to focus on getting healthier and losing weight. ThriveFit leaders saw a need for shorter classes to accommodate busy families.

“We will offer a new class called T30,” Morgan says. “It will only be 30 minutes long. It’s mainly an endurance class. With it only being 30 minutes, it’s going to be extremely efficient. It’ll be fast-paced and fast-moving. We want it to be based on result tracking. People will have heart rate monitors and members can check their heart rate through the entire workout.”

The heart rate monitor focuses on colored zones, based on exertion.

“You don’t have to be a seasoned athlete to come in or a weightlifter to do this class, but you still get a good sweat in because we’re still working the body,” Morgan says. “This class is geared toward people new to ThriveFit, or those who are busy with everyday life.”

ThriveFit offers three types of memberships based on duration.

“We have a three-, six- or 12-month program,” Morgan says. “Pricing goes down as the duration of the membership goes up. We also offer a punch-card program.”

Coaches at ThriveFit can tailor programs to each individual’s needs.

“We are technique focused, and the coaching is personalized to each member,” Morgan says. “If a member is limited in movements due to a past injury, the coach modifies the workout to fit their specific needs. We also offer goal setting and nutrition advice. True health is hard to achieve when exercise is the only thing changing. Health should be incorporated in the mind, in the kitchen and in the gym. ThriveFit and its coaches do a great job of aligning achievable goals in these areas while walking with you every step of the way.”

Child care is also available for a fee.

“We know a lot of our clients are parents, so we offer that as a way to help them still get a workout in,” Morgan says.

Classes are limited to 15 people, and this number is subject to change in 2021.
