If the smell of warm, rich, nose-leading, saliva-inducing baking is the only thing that will drag you from the comfort of your covers, then you need to try Westfield’s new Rise’n Roll Bakery. The Amish-style bakery is a refreshing deviation from the typical, offering award-winning confections that are baked fresh daily.
“Our bakery has earned recognition for its authentic recipes and dedication to quality,” says Casey McGaughey, co-owner of Rise’n Roll’s Westfield store. “This commitment to quality and tradition has built a loyal customer following statewide.”
A new addition to the Rise’n Roll family, the Westfield location opened its doors at the end of September and hasn’t disappointed. The launch was a success with giveaways and a healthy turnout. A few lucky attendees even snagged themselves free doughnuts for a year, but most keep coming back for a taste of that special Hoosier hospitality.
“The bakery was named Indiana’s best doughnut shop by Visit Indiana, a testament to the love and loyalty of our customers,” says McGaughey.
The bakery offers items such as doughnuts, cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls and bread, as well as specialty items like cheeses. Of course, the menu wouldn’t be complete without the award-winning cinnamon caramel doughnut, named Overall Fan Favorite by The Underground Donut Tour three years in a row.
“Each item is made the old-fashioned way, free from preservatives and full of flavor,” says McGaughey. “The new Westfield store is especially excited to showcase the beloved cinnamon caramel doughnut that draws visitors from near and far.”
Founded in 2001 by an Amish family, Rise’n Roll has expanded far beyond its humble beginnings. The story begins with a young Amish couple who baked favorites passed down through generations, initially selling them directly from their front porch. A dream that began in Shipshewana became a reality when the couple opened their first bakery in Middlebury, Indiana, in 2004.
Eventually the bakery was sold to a non-Amish family who continues the tradition of preservative-free baked goods. Now, McGaughey is thrilled to continue that and bring the comfort of Amish-style baking to the Westfield area.
The Westfield location is at 16030 Spring Mill Road, Suite D in Westfield, in the Spring Mill Station development. It’s the newest addition to more than 15 locations spread across northern and central Indiana.
McGaughey hopes to showcase the true tradition of Amish-style baking that is evident in every bite of Rise’n Roll’s mouthwatering treats, and the comfortable atmosphere you’ll find within the store.
“Visitors to the Westfield location can expect a warm, inviting atmosphere where the essence of traditional Amish baking is at the forefront,” says McGaughey.
