Community Health Network Offers Connected Health Care for Growing Westfield Families

Writer / Natalie Platt

As Westfield continues to grow, so does the need for accessible, connected health care. Community Health Network is meeting that demand with a new primary care and pediatric office at 1567 W. Tournament Trail, creating a dedicated space where families can receive care close to home.

While the office itself is new, the providers are familiar faces. The same physicians and advanced practice providers families have trusted for years are now working together in a location designed specifically around primary care and pediatrics.

The move reflects Community Health Network’s commitment to making health care more convenient for busy families. With primary care and pediatric services under one roof, patients can benefit from easier scheduling, same-day appointments, extended hours and care that fits into everyday life. For families needing weekend pediatric care, Saturday appointments remain available at Community’s nearby Carmel location. Specialty services, imaging and laboratory testing continue to be offered at the nearby Westfield campus.

What sets the practice apart is its integrated approach. Pediatricians and family medicine providers work closely together, allowing families to establish a single medical home for every stage of life, from newborns to grandparents.

For children, the focus extends beyond treating coughs and colds. Pediatricians Dr. Amanda Asbury and Dr. Michael Zimmerman emphasize whole-child wellness, supporting physical, developmental and emotional health from infancy through adolescence.

The providers believe consistency matters. Children who see the same pediatric team over time often develop a sense of trust that can make medical visits less stressful and create a stronger partnership between physicians, parents and patients.

Families regularly visit the office for well-child exams, newborn care, vaccinations, sports physicals, developmental screenings, behavioral concerns, mental health support and management of chronic conditions such as asthma, allergies, headaches and constipation. Providers also work with families to establish healthy habits related to nutrition and sleep early in life.

Annual well-child visits remain one of the most important tools in preventive medicine. These appointments help identify potential concerns before symptoms appear, keep immunizations current, monitor growth and development, and provide age-appropriate guidance as children move through each stage of life. They also create opportunities to discuss mental health, learning challenges, bullying, substance use and other topics that become increasingly important during adolescence.

The Westfield office also offers early autism evaluations by referral. Led by Dr. Asbury, the program serves children between 14 and 48 months of age who may benefit from additional developmental assessment. By identifying concerns earlier, families can access support services and treatment plans sooner.

For new parents, Community Health Network offers another layer of support through its Newborn Concierge membership program. Designed for families during the first two years of a child’s life, the service brings pediatric care directly into the home, reducing the need for office visits during a busy and often overwhelming season.

Participants receive in-home care whenever possible, along with access to pediatric guidance around the clock. The program is led by Dr. Donita Roettcher and nurse practitioner Kelly White and works in partnership with Community Health Network Westfield Pediatrics to ensure families have access to services that require an office setting.

The family medicine team cares for patients of all ages, providing preventive care, treatment for acute illnesses and management of chronic conditions. The practice also offers specialized women’s health and menopause care through Dr. Samantha Tilmon, who sees patients on Wednesdays at the new Westfield location. Her approach focuses on addressing both symptoms and underlying causes while complementing a woman’s overall health care plan.

Joining Dr. Tilmon on the family medicine team are Dr. Steven Burch, Dr. Killeen Finnegan, Dr. Danica Vasilchek and nurse practitioner Kim Hatchett. The practice is currently accepting new patients.

Today, Community Health Network’s Westfield primary care and pediatric office is accepting new patients of all ages. With coordinated care, convenient access and a team dedicated to supporting families through every stage of life, the practice is positioned to serve one of Indiana’s fastest-growing communities for years to come.
