All-Star Veterinary Clinic, located at 789 East Main Street, was founded by Dr. Emily King with the belief that fostering relationships with loving animal owners helps pets live long and healthy lives. It is the goal of the staff to know everyone who walks through the doors. Due to the expertise of highly qualified veterinarians, the practice is able to offer not only wellness and sick pet care but also specialized services such as dentistry, behavioral counseling and surgery.
I began the clinic in 2003 with the idea of building relationships with clients through the practice of exceptional veterinary medicine in a culture designed to foster employee development, King says. Our main objective each day is to improve the lives of others, we just happen to use the vehicle of veterinary medicine. The veterinarians working at All-Star provide a client-centric experience. We have more than 45 years of experience in treating the most common to difficult surgical and medical cases.
Each veterinarian in the practice is passionate about their profession and area of specialization. With the exception of King, who received her degree from the University of Tennessee, the doctors are graduates of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. As head veterinarian, King has a special interest in ultrasound, orthopedics and internal medicine. Doctors Ashlyn Duckwall and Kristen Puls specialize in dentistry as well as internal medicine. Dr. Allison Foust has a vast knowledge of feline medicine. Dr. Ashley Dudley is focused on dermatology, internal medicine and ultrasound. Dr. Carla Cloud is interested in general surgery as well as dentistry.
Lines of communication between the clinics veterinarians and pet owners are kept open through social media posts, videos and podcasts. Viewers of All-Star Veterinarians Instagram and Twitter feeds can see adorable photos of happy pets as they are well taken care of by staff. Several video series are accessible through the clinics Facebook page. Dr. King Says gives tips and insights on caring for pets. Richie Reviews discuss pet product pros and cons. Day in the Life gives viewers a behind the scenes look. Dr. King and her husband Richie King, co-owner and chief financial officer of the practice, broadcast a podcast called 5 Boys and a Business where they discuss raising five boys while owning a veterinary clinic.
Recently, the clinic has begun offering Telemedicine to clients. Pet owners of existing patients can schedule a live video visit with All-Stars team of doctors via smartphone. New patients can access this service by calling the office or visiting the clinics website.
All-Star Veterinary Clinic is active in several organizations which contribute back in a meaningful way. As participants in This Is How We Role, they are involved in an educational program created by Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine that teaches veterinary concepts to students in kindergarten through grade 12. They are advocates for Paws For A Cause, a community outreach program that identifies and addresses local needs. Their All-Star Veterinary Clinic Foundation provides necessary veterinary medicine to patients that might otherwise not be able to receive such care.
We are veterinarians because of our love for science, problem-solving and relationship building, King adds. From service animals assisting their handlers, to the family dog that ate yet another pair of underwear, to the independent cat that has made a permanent indent on the couch we are privileged to help promote the health, happiness and longevity of their lives.
