Maria received her law degree in May of 1998 from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, working full time and attending classes in the evenings.  Prior to law school, she worked as a civilian contracting officer for the US Navy for 12 years and the US Army for 2 years.  In the latter part of her work with the Navy, she bought sonobuoys, the surveillance devices made famous in Tom Clancy’s “Hunt for Red October”.  She received her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Communications from Purdue University in 1983, which, as she tells it, means she can talk to pigs.

Her office is on the eastside of Indianapolis.  As a general practice attorney she does a large amount of family law, including prenuptial agreements, annulments, divorces, custody and child support cases, adoptions, adult or minor guardianships, and paternity cases, as well as estate planning, probate, contracts, contract disputes, general litigation and small business advice.
