Mouratoglou Tennis Center Noblesville will offer the renowned coaching styles of legendary tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou in a brand-new, world-class, state-of-the-art indoor facility that is helping to cement Noblesville as a growing community for sports.
The center will follow the Mouratoglou Methodology, emphasizing technical skills, mental strength and personalized coaching to help players develop and reach their full potential. This method of coaching has earned him a distinguished résumé of working with some of the best tennis athletes in the world, including Serena Williams, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Naomi Osaka.
Tara Moore, a former top-100 Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) star, was instrumental in bringing the Mouratoglou Tennis Center facility and Mouratoglou’s famous teachings to Noblesville.
“I am an ex-professional tennis player, and I have a friend who works for Mouratoglou, and I was like, hey, you know, is there any chance that he would want to bring something like this to Noblesville? Obviously, Indiana’s not the biggest, it’s no New York or Miami, but I was able to convince him that there’s such a good market here for sports and that the Midwest needs something like this here, and why not Noblesville,” says Moore.
Patrick Mouratoglou’s coaching technique is about creating a personalized approach. He observes, listens and communicates with his students, creating an individualized coaching plan. His method is focused on learning about and understanding the player and figuring out what approaches will be best used to coach the student.
“I played tennis for a really long time, and all throughout my tennis career, I coached to earn some money, and I really enjoyed it. I love being that helping guide for kids and adults who want to improve their tennis game. Growing the tennis community here and getting to know everyone, I’ve seen that there’s a market for Mouratoglou’s style of coaching, and I really wanted to bring that to Indiana and Noblesville specifically,” says Moore.
Moore’s impressive career accolades include ranking No. 145 in the world in singles and No. 77 in the world in doubles.
“I think my coaching style fits in very easily to Patrick’s methodology. For instance, knowing and understanding ways kids learn, so that I can give them information, I think that’s been a really huge driver in what he’s doing. He really understands the player that he’s coaching. Which, if you can’t relay the message to a kid who learns in a different way from another kid, and you’re unable to sort of adapt to that and change your coaching methods or your teaching methods to meet their needs, then it’s very difficult for some of the kids to digest the information that’s given. So Mouratoglou very much understands about learning about the player, about the experience that he’s giving,” says Moore.
Moore will be working with players to develop their playing skills. Analyzing their forehands, backhands, serves and shots, she will then create opportunities within their age groups that will challenge the players and enhance their skills.
“I really like to see people’s actual playing level and place them where they can be challenged. It’s more of a personal, curated approach rather than it being like, ‘Hey, you just tell me what you think you are,’” says Moore.
An exclusive member club like no other, Mouratoglou Tennis Center Noblesville will bring people together and feature high-end amenities, including six indoor tennis courts, six indoor padel courts and two pickleball courts, locker rooms, and a full bar and lounge area. Mouratoglou Tennis Center Noblesville will also be used as a venue to host corporate gatherings, private celebrations, events, facility buyouts and court rentals.
“With padel being a new sport, we really want to engage with the community and help grow that sport from the ground up,” says Moore.
Mouratoglou Tennis Center Noblesville is projected to open in January, and right now, they have various membership opportunities available for purchase.
“We really believe in the product that we’re putting out,” says Moore. Mouratoglou Tennis Center Noblesville will offer a variety of junior and adult programming for both tennis and padel, as well as youth after-school programming, high-performance clinics, seasonal camps and private lessons.
