Noblesville Chamber of CommerceSince 1935, the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce has served the business community and fostered a healthy economic climate in the city.

In 2015, the Chamber created an initiative for businesswomen in Noblesville, to build a network and connect with other women in the city. Thus the Women in Noblesville (WIN) group was formed.

“Our purpose is to connect, engage, and to educate businesswomen and leaders in Noblesville,” says Kathy Young, a WIN co-chair.

Although WIN was first created as a weeklong event for women to engage with one another, the group has grown into its own organization within the Chamber itself. WIN centers around education, as mentioned in their mission statement. With this mission, the group hopes to not only gain more attendees at their events, but also funnel more women into the Chamber of Commerce.

Kathy Young, Neilia Brown and other leadership team members planned an exciting year for 2022. The theme surrounds mentorship, and growing the number of businesswomen leaders in WIN and the Chamber itself.

“Women in the workplace need mentors and need allies,” Young says. “Whether you’re younger or more experienced, you have something to share and you have something to learn.” With the theme of mentorship, the group has been very intentional aboutNoblesville Chamber of Commerce their events and the topics they touch on.

A few of the WIN events include monthly Coffee & Connect events, a Book Club, an annual Leadership Luncheon, and the annual Wine & Wisdom event in September. Additionally, after seven years of growth within the community, WIN leaders wanted to develop a way to recognize women in the community who were making an impact. They created a Woman of Impact award within the Chamber. The individual who earns this award must live or work in Noblesville. 2022 was the first year for the annual award, and the committee received 31 submissions.

“Overall, we hope for our attendees to not only build connections, but to build friendships,” Brown says. “That’s the type of relationship we want to encourage in WIN.”

WIN is hosting Coffee & Connect events for the remainder of the year.
