What to ExpectEclipse

On Monday, April 8, there will be a total solar eclipse starting shortly after 3 p.m. Muncie has not had a total eclipse for more than 1,000 years, and we will not see another in our lifetime!

Nearly four million visitors will be traveling to Indiana for the eclipse. Muncie could see 100,000 visitors or more! Plan to get to your spot early, and limit driving Monday afternoon – thousands of cars will be trying to navigate our city.

EclipseWhere to watch

There will be viewing locations at Prairie Creek, the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the fairgrounds, and local neighborhood parks.

You can book a premium viewing location and buy official Magic City Eclipse merchandise at eclipsemuncie.com! Eclipse glasses will be available at all major sites, as well as the library and Minnetrista.

Weekend Events

Saturday and Sunday are jam packed with activities all around town! Family activities, concerts, craft beer, local art, educational opportunities, and much more – see the full lineup of events at eclipsemuncie.com.
