Walk through a hospital, school, restaurant or office, and the artwork on the walls often becomes part of the story. For Deb Rolli, owner of Creative Framing, that’s exactly the point. After 37 years in business, she’s still passionate about creating spaces that inspire, comfort and connect people.
Rolli founded Creative Framing in 1989 after leaving her position managing a local frame shop to spend more time with her young daughter. What she didn’t expect was for customers to continue calling, asking her to frame their artwork. Their confidence inspired her to build a business that has become a trusted partner for organizations throughout east-central Indiana.
Today, Creative Framing specializes in commercial framing for health care facilities, schools, financial institutions, restaurants and businesses. From selecting artwork and designing custom frames to delivery and professional installation, Rolli guides clients through every step. Better yet, she brings the frame shop to them, allowing customers to view curated frame samples in the actual space where the artwork will hang.
“My passion today is partnering with businesses and organizations to create spaces that are both welcoming and inspiring,” Rolli says. “I strive to make the entire process simple and enjoyable.”
Among her most meaningful projects was framing more than 100 watercolor paintings by Westminster Village resident Betty Hutchins. Today, the collection hangs throughout the community’s common areas, where her friends and fellow residents continue to enjoy her artwork every day. She also treasures installing local photographer Matt Howell’s work throughout IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where familiar Muncie scenes spark smiles from patients, visitors and staff alike.
“For me, business has always been about more than selling a product. It’s about building trust, serving others well, and creating long-term relationships,” Rolli says.
After nearly four decades, that philosophy continues to frame every project Creative Framing undertakes.
