Keith Kaufman, co-owner of Kaufman’s Hometown Sales, says the business has garnered a loyal group of customers since the store started.
“We opened at this location in September of 2023,” Kaufman says. “My wife and I are the owners. We started our journey in 2017 as Creative Power Cell-utions, with a focus and fascination in the boundless potential of cordless batteries.”
The history of Kaufman’s Hometown Sales is simple according to Kauffman.
“The history is pretty much that it started as a dream and turned into reality,” he says. “We opened the business in hopes to bring quality, hometown value to the town of Topeka.”
Kaufman’s Hometown Sales started by offering just one product, and wound up offering a diverse portfolio of cutting-edge solutions. In their new location, they offer a wide range of products from Creative Power Cell-ution, Makita, DeWalt and many more.
“We also offer customizable, creative and custom-made lighting fixtures,” Kaufman says.
Kaufman says the range of DeWalt products includes drills, saws, grinders, sanders and more. The DeWalt tools feature powerful lithium-ion batteries that provide up to 20% more run time than standard nickel-cadmium batteries. A person can work longer without having to worry about running out of power. Kaufman’s offers decorative lighting, LED lighting, chandeliers and battery-powered lights. Kaufman says the store has curated a selection that caters to all lighting needs. Their inventory also includes electric lights, battery-powered Lights, diffusers, battery-operated tools and more.
“We have great cordless products,” he says. “Our home decor products are with our chandelier lighting.” Kaufman’s offers high-quality grills.
“We are a new authorized dealer of Kamado Joe grills,” Kaufman says. “They are the fastest-growing kamado grill brand in the United States.”
Kaufman encourages customers to check out the grills.
“We have asked people on our Facebook page, ‘Are you tired of your rusty old grill?’” he says. “We have the update for you. Don’t be stuck with an embarrassing old grill for backyard entertainment this summer.”
Kaufman’s also has toys for kids. “We have Bruder toys that include cars, trucks and farming tractors,” Kaufman says. “They are very well-made and popular with kids.”
Kaufman’s offers high-quality service to its customers. “We service and repair all the products we sell,” Kaufman says. Kaufman loves living in Topeka. “What I like best is the community,” he says. “Everyone is friendly and supportive of our new business venture. We have a lot of very loyal customers and we appreciate all their business.”
