Tipton Eatery Boasts Local History, Longtime Regulars

Theresa Louthen, owner of Fayes Northside Cafe in Tipton, says her restaurant has been blessed with steady customers ever since the business began.
We started in October 1982, so we have been here for a very long time, Louthen says. We have a wonderful history with many of our regulars who have been coming here for a long time. Our history with Tipton residents goes back a long way. We get so much positive community support from the Tipton community.
Louthen says some customers visit Fayes Northside Cafe quite frequently.
We have some regulars who come here for both breakfast and lunch every single day, she says. They are our bread-and-butter customers who are always there for us. They love our food, and they just keep coming back for more.
The restaurants history includes regular menu specials that have been immensely popular through the years.
Our fish dinner specials on Fridays are a regular thing here, Louthen says. We sell 100 pounds of fish every Friday. On Fridays we serve fried fish, grilled fish, salmon patties, and some great food such as roast beef, mashed or fried potatoes, and a great-big selection of different pies.
Louthen adds that her loyal customers have helped her through the COVID-19 pandemic.
We have been very well taken care of from our regulars, especially during the holidays, she says. They have helped us stay in business, and they have told us they liked us being there for them. They love our food. Our biscuits and gravy are something they enjoy, and something they want to keep coming back for. I really love our turkey. Its my favorite.
Louthen says other popular specials include their country fried steak, beef noodles, Salisbury steak and baked tenderloin.
We get a lot of nice compliments about the food, and we have for several years, Louthen says. I couldnt ask for better customers or friends. I am always grateful for what I have.
