A founding partner in a Greenwood accounting and wealth planning firm has been selected to one of the nation’s most prestigious wealth management organizations. Martin J. Armbruster CPA/PFS, CFP® of Treybourne Wealth Planners and Sherman & Armbruster LLP was admitted to the All-Star Financial Group at their semi-annual meeting in Las Vegas.
All-Star Financial Group is a national association of distinguished Certified Public Accountants who specialize in financial, tax and investment planning for high net worth clients. The members routinely advise clients who are owners of closely held businesses, corporate executives, successful entrepreneurs and athletes.
Members have offices in 10 states and the District of Columbia. Armbruster is the only ASFG member from Indiana.

Armbruster co-founded Sherman & Armbruster LLP in 1982, joining Pat Sherman to establish a Greenwood CPA firm. He renamed the investment advisory division of Sherman & Armbruster as Treybourne Wealth Planners in 2013.
Armbruster earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1978. He became a Certified Financial Planner® in 1982, and was awarded a Personal Financial Specialist designation in 1995. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society, and this year served as chairman of the Indiana CPA Personal Financial Planning Committee.
An active member of the community, Armbruster has served as board president of the Johnson County Community Foundation and the Roncalli High School Board of Directors. He has coordinated the St. Baldrick’s Foundation fund-raising event in Indianapolis for the past eight years, raising in excess of $375,000 for children’s cancer research.
He is married to Carol Kennedy-Armbruster PhD, who is a faculty member at Indiana University , and has two sons.
