Hot Room The Hot Room can help clients de-stress while also working out.

“We passionately believe that life is too short to be stressed out, out of shape and uninspired in your life,” says Hye Jin Kalgaonkar, owner. “We curated very powerful hot yoga and pilates classes so people can see massive physical and mental transformations quickly – also, most importantly, jumpstart a more powerful life.”

The yoga and pilates classes are held in a room heated at 100 to 105 degrees.

“The room is heated but there is also moisture in the heat,” Kalgaonkar says. “It creates a very therapeutic environment. The heat and humidity allow individuals to warm up their muscles and lubricate their joints so that they can move with more ease.”

Kalgaonkar says the experience is great for beginners.

“I always compare it to glass blowing,” Kalgaonkar says. “They heat the glass and create the glass shapes. We’re heating the body with this external heat, and then as a result we can create the shapes of the positions and poses much easier.”

The Yin Yoga class works the body’s connective tissues.

“In Yin, we focus on holding poses for longer periods,” Kalgaonkar says. “By holding the poses for two to five minutes you open up the fascia. When you open up that tissue it’s extremely therapeutic.”

Hot RoomFor clients who want a more intense workout, The Hot Room offers an Inferno Hot Pilates class.

“This is one of our most popular classes,” Kalgaonkar says. “It’s a high-intensity interval training class. It gets your heart rate up while still being low impact. You get a great caloric burn and a cardiovascular challenge, but it’s easier on the joints. There’s no running or jumping, and it is tremendously challenging.”

Kalgaonkar owns four other Hot Room locations throughout Indiana and Illinois.

“When the Fishers District came to us and explained their concept, we quickly identified this was an experience we wanted to be a part of,” Kalgaonkar says. “We loved the mix of commercial development and residential living.”

The studio was designed with foot traffic in mind.

“The outside is all glass so you can see inside,” Kalgaonkar says. “It’s a gorgeous, state-of-the-art studio. It’s breathtaking. We put in a garage door on the outside. On beautiful days we can open up the garage door.”

The studio even has a boutique that sells athleisure wear.

“Our boutique is very popular,” Kalgaonkar says. “It’s full of items you’d need for yoga, but it’s also developed into athleisure wear. We do have shoppers that, for whatever reason, may not be coming for classes but do come in just to shop.”

The Fishers community has welcomed The Hot Room with open arms.

“The response has been overwhelming,” Kalgaonkar says. “We have a strong loyal community with our other locations, and people were excited about a location coming to Fishers.”

The Hot Room is located at 11591 Yard Street, Suite 520 in Fishers. For more information, call 317-999-8375 or visit
