Lawrence Township School Foundation selects Misty Wick Johnston as President & CEO

INDIANAPOLIS — After an extensive search, the Lawrence Township School Foundation (LTSF) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Misty Wick Johnston has accepted the position of President and Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2023.   Lawrence Township School Foundation

Misty comes to the Lawrence Township School Foundation (LTSF) with a tremendous energy because LTSF’s mission of connecting resources in the community to the MSD of Lawrence Township (LT Schools) students, empowering them to excel, aligns perfectly with her personal and professional values. Johnston’s twenty-one years of experience in philanthropy, most recently as Director of Development & Marketing for the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, showcases her steadfast commitment to furthering positive change within LT Schools by leveraging her skills and experiences.

Misty shared, “The chance to lead a team of dedicated professionals, collaborate with community leaders, and engage with students, teachers, and families to shape the future of LT Schools is a privilege. The passion and dedication of the LT Schools community is abundantly clear. This shared sense of purpose resonated with me deeply as I believe the most impactful work is accomplished when a team is united by a common mission.”

“Throughout the interview process, it was obvious that Misty is a perfect fit for leading LTSF. She demonstrated not only her commitment to our mission, but also how to translate that commitment to tangible results,” confirmed Pam Dechert, LTSF Search Committee Chair.

Misty is a native Hoosier but has lived across the U.S. and overseas. She graduated with a B.A. from Hanover College and received her M.S. from Boston University. She has served on numerous boards and is currently serving on the Hanover College Advancement Advisory Committee. She and her husband enjoy spoiling their two cats, Finn and Scarlett.
