Over the weekend, Market Pointe Interiors moved out of the Fall Creek Harbour Shoppes, leaving yet another empty hole in a one-time thriving strip mall at Brooks School and Fall Creek Road. From Classic Cleaners to Infusion, every retail spot in between is now vacant. Recent tenants have included Harbour Day Spa, Art & Soul, Borne Gallery, and now Market Pointe Interiors. Rumor has it that the economy is part of the blame, but this trend started just after the new owners took possession a few years ago. Why can’t this strip mall keep tenants? Is it the new owner? Does the Flagstar Bank building on the corner hide the businesses tucked back behind it? What’s the problem here?
