Crestview Elementary School is hosting a Kids Helping Kids Clothing Drive during the month of October to benefit The Julian Center. Beginning October 1, students at the Lawrence Township school will collect blankets, warm outerwear, and new women’s and boys socks and underwear to be donated to The Julian Center, which assists victims of domestic violence.
The Clothing Drive is the idea of Danielle Lopez-Roque and Maria Strati, both fifth graders in Travis Owens’ class. They wanted to “do something to help those in need.”
Donations from the community are welcome and can be dropped off at Crestview’s main office, 7600 E. 71st Street in Indianapolis.
