Clean EatzFor Cassie and Jeff Leifel, owners of Clean Eatz, the tag lines displayed in the bright orange and green interior of their establishment are not just pat phrases.

Those phrases, including “We Change Livez” and “It’s A Lifestyle,” certainly hold true for the couple who not only recently got married, but also introduced the franchise to Fishers a few weeks later. Specializing in healthy food options, the chain offers fresh meal-plan ordering, an eat-in café and a frozen grab-n-go market.

Cassie was living in Knoxville, Tennessee, when she first discovered Clean Eatz. She was having some health problems and knew she needed to make some changes. Discovery of the meal plans made a huge difference in her life.

“I needed to clean up my diet,” she says. “I had started to do meal prep, which meant hours involved in going to the grocery store and preparing food. Then I ended up eating the same thing all week. I tried Clean Eatz and became a regular customer. At that time Jeff and I both worked at the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge. Jeff is a triathlete and when he noticed what I took for lunch, he became a Clean Eatz customer. After Jeff moved to Fishers, I would bring a cooler of the meals when I came to visit. I looked around, saw people out running and being active, and I thought the community could really benefit from having Clean Eatz here.”

The Leifels married in August of 2021 and opened Clean Eatz in September. Cassie, who has personal training and group fitness instructing certifications, and Jeff, with his business and financial background, together manage the business. Each Thursday a new meal plan comes out for customers to select from. Options cover those interested in low-fat, low-carb or ketogenic diets, and those who want additional protein to bulk up. There are vegetarian options as well. Frozen Grab-n-Go meals are always available, while the cafe specializes in made-to-order bowls, wraps, salads, burgers, flatbreads and smoothies.

Clean Eatz“If someone comes in and needs advice on what to order, I can point them in the right direction according to their goals,” Cassie says. “They can try certain meals, see what results they get and go from there.”

“Everything is labeled with macro nutrition information,” Jeff adds. “It is very easy to track fat, calories, protein, and carbs. We have a mix of families and individuals that are regular customers. One dad with a new baby and two other children told me, ‘I don’t care what the kids grab from the fridge because I know it’s all healthy.’ The more a family orders, the more the prices of the meals go down.”

The price for five meals is $41.00, or $8.20 per meal. If 21 meals are ordered the cost is $137.00, or $6.50 for each meal. The Taco Pasta with light cheese, veggies and beef is popular. Customers also enjoy the Chicken Pesto Alfredo, as well as the Steak and Cheese Omelet. Customers can sign up on the company’s website to receive emails alerting them of the meals available for order Thursday through Sunday at midnight. Pickup days are Sunday and Monday, as well as Tuesday for special-request meals such as those with extra protein or low-carbohydrate substitutions.

“We are very excited about the business,” Jeff says. “Those sayings on our wall are personal to us because Clean Eatz not only changed our lives, it’s our lifestyle- we now have a business that is a healthy option for families and people in the community.”

Clean Eatz is located at 8510 East 96th Street in Fishers. For more info, stop by the café, call 317-588-9229, or visit cleaneatz.com.
