Jagga Rent Named New Principal of Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate Junior High School

Jagga RentStudents, teachers, and staff at Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate Junior High (HIJH) started 2022 under new building leadership. 

Jagga Rent, who has served as assistant principal at Hamilton Southeastern High School for the past three years, was recently selected as the new principal of HIJH. The position became available following the retirement announcement of long-time principal Tim Mankin. 

Prior to his role as assistant principal, Jagga Rent worked closely with students as a dean at Hamilton Southeastern High School from 2014 until 2018. His career in public education spans a total of 15 years. Rent earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Ball State University in 2006. His Masters Degree is in Education Administration, also from Ball State (2014). 

I am so humbled and excited to begin this journey with the students, teachers, staff members and families of Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate Junior High,” Rent says. “My goal is to continue the tradition of academic excellence for the students we serve. My hat goes off to Tim Mankin on a tremendous career and time of service to this school community. I am also appreciative to superintendent Dr. Stokes and her team for this opportunity. My family and I are excited to be Panthers!” 

Mr. Rents passion and desire to lead the next generation of youth is an asset, and I believe HIJH is getting someone who will continue to do great things for this school,” says superintendent Dr. Yvonne Stokes. 

Rents first official day was January 3.
