In 1906, Adolph Silverburg and Leonidas Bracken founded DeFur Voran in Muncie, Indiana to serve the needs of the county seat and local business community. As Muncie grew, so did the firm. Eventually our client roster included entities such as Ball State University and Ball Memorial Hospital, along with an increasing number of local businesses, non-profits, and governmental entities.
As we grew, we realized there was an opportunity to serve a larger client base in Central Indiana, and in 2003 we opened an office in Fishers. This enabled us to nearly double the number of attorneys on staff. Since then, weve added offices in New Castle and Lafayette, specialize in more areas of the law, and offer more comprehensive legal services for both businesses and individuals.
Throughout the years, weve maintained the belief that, in addition to being attorneys and business counselors, we are neighbors. As a firm, we are deeply involved in our communities. Our attorneys and staff make time to act as mentors, serve on boards, become involved, volunteer in their communities, lend financial support, and find new ways to apply their time and talents to causes they believe in.
