Mayor Scott Fadness Thanks Fishers Community, Gives COVID-19 Updates

The past few months have undoubtedly been difficult for much of the Fishers community. Whether you are a small business owner, a health care worker, have school-aged children, or simply have had to adjust your lifestyle, we have all had to endure change.
In my open letter to the community I released in April, I wrote about how fear and anger are natural emotions for the times in which we find ourselves. That sentiment can certainly continue to ring true. But what I hope you took away from the letter is that our community can do better. We can take these emotions and turn them into action.
You answered that call. Whether you checked in on your neighbors, donated to health care workers or drew positive messages in sidewalk chalk on your property, many of you took that challenge to heart. Those stories fill the pages of this magazine.
In times like these, we are often presented with the true character of those around us. This year, the people of Fishers have shown compassion and resilience and I could not be more proud to serve you as your Mayor.

- Fishers Farmers’ Market: The market kicks off this month with online ordering & curbside pickup at Holland Park. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation tdetermine if the remainder of the market season will continue with online ordering or an in-person market. - AgriPark: The new 33-acre urban farm at 113th Street and Florida Road will open this summer with a variety of experiences for our community to enjoy, from u-pick produce and flowers available free of charge for residents, to animal encounters, educational programming and more.
