Bargersville is proud to host the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis Home-A-Rama this year, which features one of its newest communities, Aberdeen. The last few years have seen great growth for the town, from both business and residential perspectives. A number of new neighborhoods are being constructed featuring a variety of housing options for both new and current residents. New businesses are choosing to open in Bargersville and many current businesses are expanding. Bargersville is one of the county’s fastest-growing communities, and we are dedicated to responsible and sustainable growth while maintaining a small-town rural and agricultural feel.
From an amenities perspective, Bargersville is adding to its offerings this year with the beginning of work on Kephart Park. It will be the newest addition to the Parks and Recreation department for the town, and will feature walking trails, an outdoor event center and a future community center. This year work will also begin on trails connecting Kephart Park and surrounding new neighborhoods to existing parks and downtown Bargersville. Other parks in town include the newly renovated Windisch Park, Switzer Park and Witt Park.
This year work began on the final section of the Interstate 69 expansion, which will include an interchange at Bargersville. In preparation for new restaurants serving increased traffic near the interstate, the town leaders recently created a riverfront district to encourage growth and development in the area. In the coming years, look out for new eating and drinking options near Interstate 69 and throughout the town. New restaurants will complement the award-winning offerings already available to residents and visitors. Taxman Brewing Company and Johnson’s BBQ Shack have begun expansions. Mallow Run Winery offers popular outdoor concerts throughout the summer as well.
The town hosts its own events throughout the year. Preparations are already underway for 2022 summer concerts and the return of the Harvest Moon Fall Festival. Bargersville is also a popular stop for the Santa Train by the Indiana Rail Road. In the spring, the Easter Bunny makes a visit to the town at an event featuring an Easter egg hunt and pancake breakfast.
