IPACE-Endorsed Candidates for Center Grove School Board

Meet the IPACE-Endorsed Candidates for Center Grove School Board

As the November 3 election approaches, the United Teachers Association of Center Grove (UTACG) supports Nicole Kemp, Angie Teed, and Jenni Quesenberry, three candidates endorsed by the Indiana Political Action Committee for Education (IPACE). Each brings distinct experiences and a commitment to students, educators, and public education.

Nicole Kemp

Center Grove is my home. I grew up here, graduated from our schools, and now raise my children in the community that shaped me. As a former substitute teacher, PTO volunteer, and co-founder of Every Kid Eats Johnson County, I’ve worked alongside educators and families to address challenges and create opportunities for children.

Those experiences have taught me that strong schools require more than good intentions. They require supported teachers, engaged families, responsible decision-making, and a willingness to listen, even when conversations are difficult.

I believe every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and included, regardless of background, ability, or circumstance. Families deserve transparency, educators deserve a voice, and education should always come before politics.

My commitment is to ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, listen to different perspectives, and put students first in every decision. I believe school board leadership should always be grounded in accountability, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the families we serve.

Angie Teed

I bring experience as an educator, former Center Grove employee, and parent. I taught seventh-grade science at Center Grove Middle School North for four years and spent 12 years in the district’s Technology Department providing professional development to teachers. Those experiences have given me valuable insight into the needs of students, teachers, and families.

I am a licensed teacher, currently teach preschool at Crabapple Creek, and have volunteered as a Center Grove parent for 13 years. Three of my children currently attend Center Grove schools, and my oldest recently graduated.

Center Grove is already a strong district. I’m running to build on that success by asking thoughtful questions, listening to our community, collaborating, and keeping students first. I would be honored to serve.

Jenni Quesenberry

As a parent, former Center Grove employee, and nationally certified speech-language pathologist working in public schools, I’ve witnessed educators’ dedication and students’ diverse needs. With bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Disorders from Purdue University, I bring experience supporting students with learning challenges.

Since moving to Center Grove in 2011, my family has become deeply involved in our schools and community.

I believe in servant leadership, fiscal responsibility, and transparent communication among families, educators, and district leadership. Every student deserves a quality curriculum, effective instruction, and necessary resources.

My priorities are culture, curriculum, and communication. I want to amplify teacher and student voices while strengthening our schools for future generations.
