Gear Up for Boating Season the Right Way at Reeder Trausch Marine

Paid for by Reeder Trausch Marine Indy

This spring will be the first for Reeder Trausch Marine Indy featuring their second location.

In late 2024, former Center Grove classmates and co-owners of Reeder Trausch Marine, J Hurless and Monty Anderson, purchased a second location on U.S. Highway 37/Interstate 69 on the south side of Indy. The original Reeder Trausch Marine is in Rockville near Raccoon Lake.

With twice the inventory, new and exciting models, and annual summer events planned, they’re gearing up for a new season of being out on the water.

“We have the 2025 models on display,” said Ben Lynk, marketing manager. “The new M series with Bennington has some great new technology and features you might not have seen before.”

They serve as an authorized dealer of Lund, Bennington, Avalon Pontoon Boats and Four Winns fiberglass boats too.

Reeder Trausch Marine recently attended the annual Boat Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, bringing in more than 60 boats for visitors to see, and offering great deals for those interested in finally purchasing their dream boat.

If you’re looking for something new, Reeder Trausch Marine has you covered.

“When purchasing a boat, we want to look at what your family wants to do on the water,” Lynk said. “How many people will you have with you on average? Is your main goal relaxation, water sports, fishing? We need to know what your goal is on the water.”

One of the best perks of heading out to Reeder Trausch is the ability to ask questions of their knowledgeable staff.

“We have three core values: teamwork, accountability and customer promise,” Lynk said. “You can’t walk through here without being treated like family. Our staff has unparalleled knowledge about boats. I’ve been here for two and a half years and I still learn something new every day.”

With sales nearly every month for new and pre-owned boats, Lynk said getting a great deal is always an option.

Of course, in the spring many people begin to think about weekends at a lake, a fishing trip and fun in the sun. If you’re taking the family boat out soon, Lynk suggests getting a spring safety inspection.

“If your boat hasn’t run for a while, make sure everything is working right,” he said. “Make sure all the required life jackets and safety items are on board. We want to make sure you have a great day on the water.”

Bring your boat into the Reeder Trausch Marine service department to get everything in tip-top condition before the season begins.

Other boat safety tips include checking the weather forecast, letting someone know where you’re going and when you’ll be back, as well as bringing an emergency locator beacon, cell phone or marine radio on the trip.

“We consider our customers family, and it’s hard to find that at a lot of places anymore,” Lynk said. “We want to make sure we’re tailoring for the customer’s needs and finding the boat that suits you. There’s something for everyone and we’re going to continue to grow.”

Check out the locations at 5550 Kopetsky Drive in Indianapolis or 6950 E US Highway 36, Rockville, IN.
