CG Education Foundation Director Named
After an extensive search, the Center Grove Education Foundation has announced that the new executive director will be Carla Johnson. She most recently served as the Public Relations and Communications Director for a K-12 charter school on the west side of Indianapolis. She previously held a similar position for the Center Grove Community School Corporation.
CGEF Board President Terry Spradlin stated, “After an extensive search, Carla was chosen for her excellent credentials, her passion for Center Grove Schools, and her vision to lead the Foundation into the future. Johnson said, “The mission of the Center Grove Education Foundation is to fund extraordinary and innovative learning experiences for CGCSC which I translate to ‘providing wow moments for kids.’ I am very much looking forward to helping the Foundation to achieve its mission and vision for Center Grove.”
CGCSC Superintendent Rich Arkanoff welcomed Johnson’s return to school system, adding, “Carla and the Center Grove Education Foundation have my administrative team’s full support, and we anticipate tremendous success under her leadership.”
The parent of two Center Grove High School graduates, Johnson is familiar with the opportunities provided in the district. “When my husband’s company relocated to Indianapolis, we chose this area because of the excellent schools,” she said. “We feel very blessed for the experiences that our children enjoyed at CGHS. I am thrilled to join the Foundation’s efforts to enhance those opportunities for all of the students at Center Grove.”
The Center Grove Education Foundation was founded in 1998 to serve the students of Center Grove Schools. More information about the Foundation is available at www.centergrovefoundation.org
