The Center Grove varsity show choirs swept the awards at Xtreme Choir Showdown at Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana on Saturday, February 24. Sound System and Debtones were awarded best vocal, best visual, best show, and Grand Champions in the Mixed and Unisex divisions, respectively.
There were also several awards to individual performers. In the Broadway / Pop Solo Competition, Sarah Anderson was named Grand Champion, and Haley Burgh, 1st Runner-Up. In the Show Choir competition, Neely Branham of The Debtones was awarded Outstanding Performer, Maddy Rau of Sound System was awarded Outstanding Performer, Morganne Keller of Sound System was awarded Outstanding Female Soloist within a show, and Victor Gichina of Sound System was awarded Outstanding Male Soloist within a show.
Center Grove Show Choirs Sound System, The Debtones, Surround Sound, and Accents will compete at Shelbyville Singing Sensational at Shelbyville High School in Shelbyville, IN on Saturday, March 10. Center Grove choirs are directed by Jennifer Dice, Jared Norman, and Greg Sanders, and choreographed by Andy Haines, Anne Beck, and Brandon Comer.
