Orchard Park Student Artists Display Artwork

Carmel Art Council’s new December exhibit opens Friday

unnamedThe World’s Smallest Children’s Art Gallery will open on Dec 2, featuring art made by students of Orchard Park Elementary. These works, inspired by the study of famous artists and their cultures, will be displayed throughout the month of December.

Works of art that will be shown range from collages, to paintings, to print making and so much more. The students were taught by first year Orchard Park teacher, Yekyeong Jessica Sunwoo. Jessica graduated from Towson University in Baltimore with a degree in Art Education, and has six years experience teaching elementary art. In Jessica’s Art classes she “wants her students to surpass their barriers and struggles and be able to freely express themselves.”

The CAC’s Children’s Art Gallery, located at 40 West Main Street, will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout December, from 2pm until 4pm. The gallery will be closed December 23-25 and December 30-January 1 for the holidays. To learn more, visit www.carmelartscouncil.org.
