Lebanon Community School Corporation Looks Ahead to 2026
Lebanon Community School Corporation prides itself in providing Something for Everyone. We are excited about the year ahead as we continue to provide experiences and opportunities for all students and be part of our growing community.
Tiger Cub Pre-K to Open, Fall of 2026
We are keeping our promise to our community to address the need for quality early learning experiences. The Tiger Cubs Pre-K will open in two locations in August of 2026. This program will feature licensed elementary teachers in every classroom, a full-time school nurse, dedicated Pre-K administration, and a school SRO. Each classroom will also include a paraprofessional to keep the student/teacher ratio to approximately 11:1. Brand new facilities are provided for our students at the renovated former Central Elementary School and at Perry-Worth Elementary. Registration information will be available beginning in January of 2026. Learn more at leb.k12.in.us or visiting the Tiger Cub Pre-K Facebook page. Tiger Cubs Pre-K is open to in and out of district families.
Growing STEM Opportunities
Through the support of our voter-approved Operating Referendum, LCSC provides a dedicated certified teacher to provide STEM experiences in each of our four elementary schools. Students learn problem solving through coding, robotics, mathematics, and science activities. Our middle school and high school STEM programs continue to grow and thrive offering courses in app creation, medical investigations, computer science, and pre-engineering programming.
High School Student Activity Center to Open, Fall of 2026
A brand new Student Activity Center located adjacent to Lebanon High School will provide needed practice space for our athletic programs, physical education space, and rehearsal space for our fine arts programs. The facility will include three basketball courts, batting cages, a three-lane indoor track, and the ability to support volleyball and tennis. This will be a tremendous community asset.
High School and Middle School Renovation Projects
2026 will mark the second year of construction at both Lebanon High School and Lebanon Middle School. The middle school project is a major renovation project, modernizing the facility, improving student and staff safety, and increasing capacity.
The high school project addresses areas of the building untouched during the 2011 renovations, including the physical education and athletic areas of the school. Additionally, the capacity of our cafeteria space and student commons renovation will provide students with inviting, modern, and flexible spaces that can be used by groups and individuals in a variety of academic and co-curricular ways. The project also includes improved student services support spaces to serve our students mental health an post-secondary needs.
Increasing Advanced Coursework Opportunities
LCSC continues our partnerships with universities to provide students with the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school. These opportunities prepare our students for their post-secondary education and save our parents thousands of dollars in tuition costs. Additionally, LHS and LMS are increasing the number of advanced courses for our students – raising the academic bar for all.
Growing our Workplace Participation Program and Skilled Trades Programs
LHS is continuing to grow the number of business partners providing our students with real-world work experiences while in high school. The program includes multiple pathways including medical, teaching, construction trades, engineering and more.
Our mission at LCSC is to Challenge Everyone, Every Day, to Reach a New Best. We are grateful for a supportive community that helps us meet this mission every day.
